Craig Eugene Harvey, 44, of Austin, Texas, formerly of Champaign, died on Monday (March 27, 2017) at home.

Craig was affectionately called "Harvey" by his family and friends. He was born on Aug. 19, 1972, in Champaign, the loving son of Rosa (Harvey) and Chester Guillory.

Craig was a graduate of Champaign Central High School. He also attended Parkland College in Champaign, Austin Community College and Huston Tillotson University, both in Austin, Texas.

Craig accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church where he was baptized. He moved to Sacramento, Calif., in 1994 and then to Roseville, Calif. In 2008, he moved to Austin, Texas, where he attended Crossroads Baptist Church in Austin.

Craig enjoyed music and during his younger years he played in a band. He recently purchased a new guitar. He was employed at Onion Creek Volkswagen in Austin, Texas, where he received a Top Salesman of the Month award.

Craig loved his daughters, family and friends. He was a person who never met a stranger.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his parents, mother, Rose L. Guillory; stepfather, Chester Guillory; daughters, Brooklyn Rae Harvey, Shayla Rae Harvey and Lola Harvey; brother, Tony Ray Harvey; sisters, Tammy (David) Harvey-Moore and Pennie (Anthony) Allen; stepsisters, Ellen and Deborah Guillory; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Craig was preceded in death by his father, maternal and paternal grandparents, and three aunts.
