Muncie- Jack G. George, 87, passed away Saturday afternoon, March 25, 2017, at the Indiana University Ball Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. He was born on February 20, 1930 in Muncie, the son of Eugene and Helen (Wiseman) George.

Jack attended Muncie City Schools and later had served in United States Army with the HQ 112th Co. Infantry Regiment 28th Divison as Private 2nd Technician. Mr. George had retired from Warner Gear as a Machine Operator in 1983 after 33 years of service. He was a member of the Monroe Township Conservation Club, the National Rifle Association, Borg-Warner Sympathy Club and the United Auto Workers Union. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

Survivors include, two daughters, Sandra George (companion-Ted Darr), Dunkirk and Shirley Kissell (husband-Butch), Mogadore, Ohio; one son, David George, Muncie; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; one sister, Cheryl Steele, Muncie; one brother, Tony George (wife-Dollie), Muncie; several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by one son, Jon George in 1998; his parents; three sisters, Jerry Fisher, Dee Dee Wisemore and Nine Jean George.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2017, 10:00 A.M. at the Beech Grove Cemetery. Timothy Steele a nephew will officiate.
