Lewis was a lifelong farmer and was also retired from Fulton Industries.
He was a member of Crossroads Evangelical Church, formerly Evangelical Mennonite Church, in Wauseon, where he spent his life serving the Lord in many capacities including deacon and elder. He was a devoted husband and father. Even during his illness he was a kind and gentle man.
Lewis was born in Fulton County on July 26, 1923, the son of the late Walter and the late Mary (Stevenson) Blair. On Oct. 18, 1942, he married Betty Perkins, who preceded him in death in 2008. They were married over 65 years.
Surviving Lewis are four daughters: Loretta (Harry) Mackey of South Bend, Ind., Vicky (Ron) Crowe of Cave Creek, Ariz., Beth (Paul) Kelley of Wakefield, Mass., Linda (Steve) Ramsey of Pooler, Ga.; two sons, David (Melody) Blair of Maryville, Mo., Tim (Jodi) Blair of Denver, Colo.; 17 grandchildren, 20 greatgrandchildren; and two sisters, Barbara Ross of San Diego, Calif., and Shirley (Jack) Baker of New Albany.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Martha Haag, and one sister, Rose Marie Grieser.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 23, at Crossroads Evangelical Church, Wauseon, with Pastor Matt Boyers and Pastor Tyler Quillet officiating. Preferred memorials to Crossroads Evangelical Church.
