On Friday, February 9, 1919 the Sandusky Register, page 3, reported: "There will be a double funeral at the home today. Lewis T. Kern and Clark Barr died during Wednesday night and will be buried at 10 a.m. today. A short service by Chaplain Ferguson will be held at 9:30 for Clark Barr preceding the burial..."
