Butch was born March 1, 1957 in Pontiac, IL to George and Margaret E. (Robinson) Lane. They both survive in Danville, IL. He married Patricia Crews on March 28, 1981. She passed away August 28, 2015.
He is survived by his children, Autumn Blankenbeckler of Pontiac, IL, Christine Lane of Washington, George Lane of Washington, and Kadin Lane of Cornell, IL; brothers, Donald Bennett of Pontiac, IL, James Bennett of El Paso, IL, and John Wheaton of Fairbury, IL; and sisters, Barbara Boner of Kentucky and and Georgia Wheaton of Pontiac, IL.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia; and one brother, Kenny Wheaton.
Butch served in the U. S. Navy and worked in construction.
