Jerome H. Phillips 'Jerry', age 78, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2017, in Roseburg, Oregon. He was born in Watsonville, California, February 26, 1939. Jerry is the oldest of six children born to Jerome E. and Molly (Pierson) Phillips. He had three brothers, one of which is a twin, and two twin sisters.

In 1957, Jerry enlisted to serve his country with the United States Navy. After 13 years with the Navy, he was honorably discharged as a Petty Officer 2nd Class.

His first marriage was to Margie Peters which lasted 20 years. Jerry and Margie were parents to four children, Daniel, Thomas, Cheryl and Kevin; blessing him with 12 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

His love for motorcycle riding led him to finding his second love, Francis 'Liz'. They were married for thirty years.

Jerry worked at Almaden Vineyards as a Vintner until he retired and moved to Oregon to be closer to his brother Larry. After moving to Oregon, Jerry was reunited with his love for fishing. He was a member of Umpqua Fishermen's Association along with his brother, Larry.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Liz, who passed in 2013.

Services will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2017; at the Roseburg National Cemetery in Roseburg, Oregon at 3 p.m.
