Joyce Coppel, of Madison, WI most recently Seattle, WA was 91 years of age when she peacefully passed away, in Seattle. Preceded
in death by her loving husband, Dr. Harry C. Coppel (married 03 Sep 1950); and parents, Harry and Frances (Bloom) Vineberg.

It was a blind date that brought Joyce & Harry together. He was from Galt, Ontario, already an accomplished scientist in Entomology, with a PhD. He turned out to be the love of her life, it was on their 3rd date, he proposed. They married later in 1950 and moved to Belleville, Ontario. In 1957, Harry accepted a job at the University of Wisconsin-Madison; he and Joyce left Canada with their 2 children. Adapting to her new home in the USA Joyce became involved in volunteer activities, many with Temple Beth El Sisterhood and the Collector's Corner thrift shop. She was politically active
as a Democrat and a feminist. Joyce was a member of the Wisconsin Women's Political Caucus, NOW and the Lysistrata Cooperative.

Joyce and Harry were partners and happily married for 60 years. Joyce loved and cherished her children. It was with joy she treasured who they have become, and what they have accomplished. Joyce's beautiful smile and spirit will be remembered and missed every day.
