RICHMOND, Ind. – Kathryn Virginia Freeman, age 73, of Richmond, Indiana, passed Saturday, March 25, 2017, at Reid Health.
Born May 6, 1943, in Richmond, Indiana, to Lester Leroy and Ida Merritt Gray Sr., Kathryn was a life-long resident of Richmond. She was a self-employed beautician. Kathryn was artistic and enjoyed painting. She liked to sing and dance. Kathryn loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter, Nicki McQueen of Richmond; son, John Wesley Freeman III of McCordsville, Indiana; grandchildren, Joshua David Gray Freeman, Madison McQueen, and Miranda McQueen; sister, Terri J. (Dean) Wuertemberger of Charlotte, North Carolina; brothers, Arthur W. (Barbara) Gray of Richmond, Steve E. (Diana) Gray of Centerville, Indiana, and David B. (Barbara) Gray of Richmond; sister-in-law, Debbie Gray; nieces; nephews; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Freeman Jr., who died in 2004; parents; brother, Lester L. Gray Jr.; and niece, Serena R. Gray.
Visitation for Kathryn Virginia Freeman will be from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2017, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2017, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.
