Services for Brian Charles Potter, 45, who passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017, at Kavanaugh House on 56th Street, in Des Moines, Iowa, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 30, at St Anthony Catholic Church in Des Moines. Cremation will follow services with burial of cremains at a later date in the Webb Cemetery, rural Norwalk, Iowa.
Survivors include his wife, Wendy; children, Anthony, Skylinn, Layton, Jaden and Ashlynn; parents Steven Potter and Diana and Robert Vandervort; brothers, Stacy (Lu) Potter and Scott (Megumi) Potter; sisters, Shawn (Roger) Fredrick, Bobbi Jo (Jeff) Dille, Jacquie (Brian) Claire, Stephanie (Wes) Potter and Lacey Vandervort; and dog, Tia. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Etta Parker and Beatrice Potter; brother, Michael Vandervort; uncle, Charlie Parker; and an aunt and uncle, Kenneth and Judy Moore.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, March 29, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola where family will be present to greet friends. Memorials may be given to Brian’s wife for a contribution to be decided at a later date. Online condolences may be made at www.overtonfunerals.com.
