Bobby “Frog” Parsons, 51 year old Hitchita resident, passed away on Saturday March 25, 2017 in Tulsa, OK. He was born on August 10, 1965 to Milton D. “Bart” and Shirley (Reece) Parsons in Checotah. Frog grew up in Checotah and Porum, graduating from Porum High School in 1984. He drove a truck for a few years, attended Tulsa Welding School and worked construction with his brothers. Frog also worked in maintenance for Muscogee (Creek) Nation and as a plumber’s helper in Tulsa. He loved hog hunting, fishing and deer hunting. For over a decade he was Fire Chief of Hitchita where he served the community he loved. He attended the Porum Assembly of God Church and the Hitchita Free Will Baptist Church and was affectionately known as “Papa Frog” by his grandchildren. Frog was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Frankie Parsons, niece, Kasey Parsons and his great nephew, Colby Dan Parsons. He is lovingly survived by his children, Bobby Milton Parsons, Jr. and his wife Sarah of Konawa, Bryan Dean Parsons and Amber Robertson of Checotah, Colt Lee Parsons of Checotah; his grandchildren, Tristen Colt Parsons, Dylan Heath Parsons, Alvin Finn Parsons, Chanya Thomas, Brooklyn Breann Parsons, Allison Jean Parsons, Bryan Parsons, Jr., Cash Ray Parsons, Aubrey Nicole Parsons, Melissa “Missy” Michelle Parsons, Colt Lee Parsons, Jr. and Ryder Cae. Frog is also survived by his twin sister, Betty JoAnn Luna and her husband Lynn of Porum; his brothers, Danny Parsons and his wife Nora of Briartown, Jimmy Parsons of Devils Elbow, MO, Dewayne Benton and his wife Renae of Briartown, Mike Parsons and his wife Shannon of Porum, Melvin Parsons of Tulsa, George Parsons and his wife Shawna of Bixby as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family and a lifetime of friends. Family conducted graveside service celebrating the life of Bobby “Frog” Parsons will be held at 2PM on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Fields Cemetery in Porum, OK. The family of Bobby “Frog” Parsons entrusted his care, services and cremation to John & Kim Garrett of Garrett Family Funeral Home
