SALLY CARROLL BELL, 84, of Rippon, died Sunday, March 30, 2003 in Grottoes, Va. Born April 22, 1918 in Kabletown, WV, the daughter of the late Arch and Nellie Wasson Carroll. Her husband, George L. Bell, died April 10, 1987.

She was a member of Grottoes Church of God.

She is survived by five daughters, Shirley Jones, Charles Town, WV; Elfreda Slack, Glengary, WV; Evelyn Whittington, Martinsburg, WV; Georgiana Robinson, Winchester, Va.; and Mary Wampler, Grottoes; sister, Eleanor Hummer, Charles Town; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Louise Murray; three sisters; and five brothers.

Services were held at the Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town; burial in Edge Hill Cemetery, Charles Town.
