Calvin Luciuos Pafford, Sr., 84, of Thomasville, died March 25, 2017 in Thomasville. He was born September 23, 1932 in Cook Co., Georgia, he was the son of the late Lessie Pafford, Sr. and Katie Lou McKinney Pafford. Mr. Pafford was a veteran of United States Army, serving in Korea during the Korean Conflict. His employment included Wainer Construction, Scott Construction and retirement from Sunnyland & Publix. He attended Valdosta State College and was a member of First Baptist Church of Thomasville. On June 21, 1952, he married Emma Jean Flanders Pafford who survives. Mr. Pafford enjoyed gardening, working in his yard and spending time with his dog Norton.

Other survivors include daughters, Becky and her husband Edward, Jennifer and her husband Robert; a son Calvin L. Jr. and his wife Michelle; and grandchildren, Tiffany and her husband Michael, Nathan and his wife Adrianne and Amber and her husband Chris; great grandchildren, Jackson, Jensen, Gabriel, Strawberry Grace; a sister Mary Lou; and several other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Calvin Pafford and brothers, George Pafford and Lessie Pafford, Jr., and a brother in law Johnny Flanders.
