Evelyn passed away peacefully on March 23, 2017.

She was born in Salt Lake City on August 23, 1926 to Lester DeLance Webb and Flora Rozilla Peterson.

In 1949, she married Lynn Shield; later divorced. She married Walter Haas in 1951.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and worked for many years as a nurses aid and caregiver.

Evelyn enjoyed her family, traveling, camping, genealogy, Pepsi, and strawberry sundaes.

She is the proud of mother of Carol (Joe) Boyle, Phyllis (Dean) Henriod, Diane Johnson, David (Donna), Lee (Colleen), Mike (Cindalee), Kim (Marie), and Kelli (the late Paul Runyan). In addition, she is survived by thirty grandchildren; seventy-nine great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Jack Mason and Steve Mason; and sisters, Jeanine Moyer, Betty Ann Strebell, and Linda Neil. Preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Bonnie Howard; brothers, Lynn Mason, Joe Mason, and Marvin Webb; son, Bill Haas; and grandson, John Berry. We will all miss her quick wit and humor.

The family wishes to thank the caring staff at Avalon Care Center and Bristol Hospice, with special thanks to Martin Millan.
