Vera Clara Cupp, 75, of 12804 Oak Hill Ave., Apt. 1, Hagerstown, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2002, at the home of her daughter at 27 E. Sunset Ave., Williamsport.

Born Nov. 15, 1925, in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Fedor and Frieda Clara Heinig Hirsch.

Her husband, Earl Henry Cupp, died in 1982.

She was employed as a telephone operator with a temporary service office.

She attended Cedar Lawn Missionary Church.

She was a member of Woodmen of the World, Morris Frock American Legion Post 42 Auxiliary and the Second Wind Association. She also was a volunteer at Washington County Hospital.

She is survived by two daughters, Lori Knight of Gulfport, Miss., and Gail C. Cupp of Williamsport; one son, Greg A. Cupp of Williamsport; and five grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, Hagerstown. The Rev. Robert J. Seek will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport.

The family will receive friends Wednesday one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
