Martha Ann Smith Little died peacefully Thursday, March 23, 2017, at Ann's Choice in Warminster. She was 89.

Martha was born Feb. 12, 1928, in Chattanooga, Tenn. to George and Tiny M. Smith. She had two brothers, George and Leon, and one sister, Carolyn S. Eaves.

Martha graduated in the Central High School, Class of 1946.

She worked as a secretary for the Tennessee Valley Authority among others, and later retired from the Alumni and Development Office of the Lawrenceville Prep School.

In 1949, Martha married Ransome Douglas Little and became a stay-at-home mom, raising their four children. Martha and Doug moved to West Virginia and later to Levittown. In 2004, after Doug's death, Martha moved to Ann's Choice.

Martha was active for many years in the First Baptist Church of Levittown-Fairless Hills. She never found a Pinochle game that she could pass up, and loved Bingo and working jigsaw puzzles. Most of all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Martha is survived by her sister, Carolyn, and her loving children, Connie Scholten (Mike), Claudia Haviland (Jim), William D. Little (Bonnie), and David N. Little (Emily). She will also be greatly missed by her grand-children, Sara Haviland Jackson (Christopher), Rebecca Haviland Davidson (Jeff), Heather Little Everett, Courtney Haviland Greenberg (Jared), and Ashley Little Paukovits (Dan). She also leaves behind nine cherished great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Martha was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, and her dear friend, Robert Barber.

Family and friends are invited to call from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 29, at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where her funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Newtown Cemetery.
