Ricky Rippetoe, age 70, of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away on March 22, 2014, in Weatherford, Oklahoma. He was born on February 13, 1947, to Milton and Sybil Rippetoe in Hollis, Oklahoma. Rick graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University with a degree in accounting. He served for six years in the National Guard. After college, Rick worked as an accountant in the Dallas area before settling in Duncan, Oklahoma, where he started his own business. He later lived in Chickasha for six years, running a dry-cleaning business, before returning to Duncan, where he lived the remainder of his life. Since 2004, Rick traveled the country for his work for the Small Business Administration Disaster Assistance, where he helped victims of natural disasters. Rick enjoyed traveling, hunting, watching football, telling stories, and spending time with his many friends and family members.

Rick is survived by his three daughters, Angie Howell of Windsor, Colorado; Rebecca Collins of Coffeyville, Kansas; and Kelly Parker and husband Todd Parker of Weatherford, Oklahoma; eleven grandchildren; mother, Sybil Rippetoe of Hollis; sister, Barbara Shelby of Hollis; brother Wilcey Rippetoe and wife Rochelle of Hollis; brother Gary Rippetoe and wife Patti of Hollis; brother Tony Rippetoe and wife Dee Ann of Waukomis; brother Rodney Rippetoe and wife Lavon of Hollis, and many nephews, nieces, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Milton Rippetoe.

Funeral services for Rick Rippetoe will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Harmon County Funeral Home in Hollis.
