Mildred Earline Betzner, age 89, of Springdale, Arkansas, formerly of Clarendon, Arkansas, passed away Friday, March 24, 2017 at home surrounded by her family.

She was born June 27, 1927 in Clarendon, Arkansas, to Dale and Dora (Turnbow) Theriac and was raised by Pearl Theriac after the untimely death of her mother.

She was a retired clerk for Sears & Roebuck, as well as the Mad Butcher in Clarendon.

She was preceded in death by her parents and step mother; first husband, Dewitt Pearson of Clarendon, and her second husband, William Betzner of Little Rock; one brother, John Theriac; and one sister, Virginia Duncan.

She is survived by her daughter, Sheryl Harris (and husband, Dr. Daniel Harris), three brothers, Alfred Theriac of Shreveport, Louisiana, Jimmy Theriac of Dyersburg, Tennessee, and Danny Theriac of Wooser, Arkansas; two sisters, Linda Johnson of Conway, Arkansas, and Edna Pearson of Paris, Texas; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until service time at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 28, 2017 in the Chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Bob Baker officiating.

Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.

Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home and Crematory of Fayetteville.
