Jackie "moved to Gainesville, Texas, as a young boy and attended Gainesville public schools, where he graduated in 1969. He was in management in several different industries but his greatest joy was in serving the Lord through helping people."

Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by his first wife, Paula Morgan; his parents, Jack and Bethel; sisters, Sharon (Morgan) Wilson and Susan (Morgan) Hudgins; niece, Jacqueline Wilson; and nephew, Kevin Wilson.

Mr. Morgan was survived by wife, Penny Morgan; uncle, Joe Rose; aunt, June Lawson; daughter, Dawn (Morgan) Pitman (and husband Jon); sons, Brian Morgan (and wife Amanda) and Michael Spiker; grandchildren, Kalina, Kierra, Aleah, Quentin, Julia, Jack, and Jessi; several great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews; and too many friends to name.

Memorial Services were on April 30, 2017, at Tate Springs Baptist Church of Arlington, Texas.
