Gail Smith Turner (58) was born on October 20, 1959 in Marion County and was the youngest of eight children of Albert and Catherine Taylor Smith. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother and her immediate and working families meant the world to her. She graduated from North Marion High School (’77) and was a faithful worker at Lockheed Martin for 35 years until she passed away on March 23, 2017. Gail is survived by her husband of 41 years, Lonnie Turner, daughters: Lauren Turner Burrell (Mark), and Latrice Turner, and stepdaughter Desiree Turner Ray (Louis), grandchildren: Marcus Burrell, Brie Burrell, Shawn Burrell, Kalven McKenzie, step-grandchildren Latrell Ray, Dedric Ray, Drayden Ray and godson Jeremiah Hanks. Gail leaves four brothers and three sisters: Yvonne Smith Sears (Joseph), Sylvester Smith, Cecelia Smith Jackson, Nathaniel Smith, Emma Smith Chandler (Leroy), Harrell Smith (Connie) and Larry Smith along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Service will be held at Roberts Funeral Home Chapel, 606 SW 2nd Ave, Ocala on April 1, 2017 at noon. Viewing Hours are on Friday, March 31, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
