He was born on June 5, 1951 in Elgin the son of the late Donald and Barbara (nee Hartman) McKee. Chris was a lifelong farmer and truck driver. A member of Teamster's Local # 731 Burr Ridge, IL for 29 years, former member of the McHenry County Sheriff's Posse, and a collector of toy tractors and trucks.
He is survived by his children, Scott (Eve) McKee, Shelly (Scott) Burshia), Christopher J. (Hannah) McKee, Jr. and Kyle McKee; grandchildren, Ryan, Regan, Hesston, Sadie and Clayton McKee, Gabrielle, Chayton and Michante Burshia; two sisters, Cindy (David) Rudsinski, and Sherrie (Bill) Dawson; brother, Doug (Sherrie) McKee; special companion, Rose Cleary.
A brother William also preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Wed., March 22 at the James A. O'Connor Funeral Home, 11603 East Main St. Huntley, IL 60142 and from 9:30 am Thursday until the prayer service at 10:15 in the funeral home to Sacred Heart Catholic Church 323 N. Taylor St. Marengo, IL 60152 for Mass of the resurrection at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery Marengo.
