Glenda met and married William B. (Bill) Mitchell, and from that union were born Michael B. Mitchell, and Teresa Lee Mitchell. Bill passed away early in the marriage leaving Glenda alone to raise her children. Glenda was thrilled at the athletic talents of both of her children, and her grandchildren and attended their many games as their greatest fan. Grandchildren are, Derek (Carrie) Parker, Brandon J. Parker, Mitchell Haase and Mckay Meidlinger. Another great joy is Aubrey, daughter of Derek and Carrie her only great grandchild.
Glenda loved her "work" and was happiest in her yard gardening, in her house, remodeling, decorating and cleaning. She also loved her walking and could be found most days clocking in three to five miles. Friendly and cheerful, she made many close friends wherever she went.
In the summer, the mountains always called to Glenda and she and daughter Teresa enjoyed camping with many in her family. Glenda overcame many physical obstacles including rheumatoid arthritis, drop foot and was also a breast cancer survivor demonstrating great resilience and courage.
She worked at West Kearns Elementary School with mentally and physically handicapped children for many years and had a great relationship with them. She continued as a volunteer in this school even after her retirement.
Glenda is preceded in death by her husband Bill, her parents Glenn and Iryse Todd and by many of her in-laws.
