Mary Jo Wright Washmuth, 86, of Rushville, passed away March 14, 2017 in Rushville. She was born October 25, 1930 in Shelbyville to Roy & Lulu(Chambline)Surber. Mary Jo married Glen Wright on May 27, 1950 and he preceded her in death on Dec. 6, 1968. She married Richard L. Washmuth on June 3, 1977 and he survives. Mary Jo worked many years for GE, Western Electric and also in the dietary department for Major Hospital. She enjoyed bowling, rollerskating, camping & boating. She and Dick enjoyed traveling and had visited 48 states within the U.S. In addition to her husband, Dick, of Rushville, she is survived by daughters, Kathy(David)Justice of Greenfield and Susie(Kelly)McClure of Rushville, sons, Larry(Nancy)Washmuth of Sarasota, Fl. and Tim(Diane)Washmuth of Falmouth, 32 grandkids and 6 great-grandkids. Mary Jo was preceded in death by sons, John Wright & Scotty Washmuth, daughters, Rebecca Wilhoit and Margaret Wright, grandsons, Justin & Kris Washmuth, granddaughter, Jessy McClure, 3 sisters & a brother. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 17, 2017 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville with Harvey Weaver officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville. Memorials contributions may be made to Our Hospice or to the RCCF-Jessy McClure Fund.
