Mark was born January 29, 1958 in Blair, Nebraska to Neils and Ruth (Nielsen) Christensen. He grew up on a farm three miles south of Kennard, Nebraska. He was baptized and confirmed at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard. Mark attended grade school in Washington, Nebraska and then Blair High School.
He married Margaret (Maggie) Ryckman on July 14, 1987. They were blessed with three sons.
Mark worked hard and loved to fish, hunt and garden.
Mark S. Christensen, 59, passed away peacefully March 24, 2017 at Dunklau Gardens Hospice in Fremont, Nebraska, surrounded by his family and friends.7.
Left to cherish his memory are his three sons: Neil of Lincoln, NE; Patrick of San Diego, CA, and Cody of Ralston, NE; sisters: Claudia Martin and Mark Butler, Connie Sheets and Terry Johnson, Pam and Kevin Hindley; brothers: Larry Christensen and Joyce Nelson and Daniel Christensen and Kathy Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his wife Maggie and his parents.
