RITA AVIS WEDDLE, age 94, of Bel Air, MD, died on December 10, 2006, at Four Seasons Assisted Living. Born in Carroll County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Caleb and Maudie Dalton Branscome and the wife of 42 years to the late Joseph Farmer Weddle. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of Hopewell United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Weddle is survived by two sons, Nowell T. Weddle and his wife, Patricia E. of Bel Air, MD, and Arlen L. Weddle and his wife, Joyce M. of Churchville, MD; two sisters, Minnie Vaughn of Virginia, and Etta Turpin of West Virginia; three grandchildren, Anne M. Gredler of Manassas, VA, Anthony A. Weddle of Forest Hill, MD, and Timothy L. Weddle of Reston, VA; two great-grandchildren, Justin A. Gredler of Manassas, VA, and Bronwyn A. Connolly of Arizona; a step-granddaughter, Deborah Beall of Joppa, MD; and a step-great-grandson, Joseph Kozlowski of Joppa, MD.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Weddle was predeceased by a daughter, Margaret A. Brooks.
