LOVINGSTON – Troy Kenneth Harris, 59, of Faber, died at 2 p.m. Thursday in a Charlottesville hospital following a short illness. Mr. Harris was born in Nelson County on Sept. 4, 1909, a son of the late Eldridge Edward and Blanche Thurston Harris.
He was a member of Adial Baptist Church at Faber.
Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Thomas E. Roberts of Faber, Mrs. Milton Turner of Scottsville, Mrs. Arthur DePriest of Churchville, and Mrs. Roger Turner of Charlottesville.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Sheffield Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Ralph Hyder. Burial will be in the family cemetery at Twin Poplars.
Pallbearers will be William Turner, George Knight, Willard Harris, Samuel Harris, Bruce Harris, Aubrey Harris, Billy Simpson and Calvin Goff.
