Otto Boisen

Funeral services for Otto Boisen were Saturday afternoon at the Waggener and Campbell Chapel conducted by the Rev. Frank B. Willis.

Pallbearers were H.V. Wyman, O.N. Parker, Anton Strack, Alfred Williams, Neil Keim and E.J. Riley. Burial was in Conrad Memorial Cemetery.

Otto Boisen was born Jan. 1, 1892, at Cataract, Wis., a son of Peter and Johanna Boisen. He grew up in Wisconsin and in 1920 moved to Beach, N.D., where he farmed until moving to Kalispell in 1934. He married Miss Ferne Beatrice Fillner at Glendive, on Feb. 15, 1921. The family had made its home south of Kalispell since 1934, with the exception of five years at Portland, Ore. Mr. Boisen engaged in logging for some time and more recently was operating a chicken ranch.

One son, Buster, died in 1950. Mr. Boisen is now survived by his widow, Ferne Beatrice, at home; two sons, Irvin or Columbia Falls and Everett of Whitefish; two daughters, Mrs. Lola Howard of Bothell, Wash., and Mrs. Joanne McLaughlin of Fort Rucker, Ala.; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Leonard Boisen of Hungry Horse and John Boisen of Lacrosse, Wis., and one sister, Mrs. Mable Young of Sparta, Wis.
