He was born July 11, 1915, in Power, and graduated from Power High School. He married Ruth Ann Whitman June 3, 1938, in Missoula.
He had farmed on the Fairfield Bench since 1942. Beck was a past commissioner of the Greenfield Irrigation District, a past borad member of the FHA, and a 4-H leader. He was an active emmber of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife of Fort Shaw; daughters, Carol Henning of Billings, and Ruth Kanemasu of Golden, Colo.; sons, Tony Beck of Pasco, Wash., Ronald Beck of Missoula, and David Beck of Mukilteo, Wash.; a sister, Eileen Shannon of Fairfield; brothers, Melvin Beck of Fairfield and Arwin [Arnold] Beck of Nampa, Idaho; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
