Bobbie Gean Rogers, who resided in Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Friday, March 24, 2017, in Charleston. He was born July 6, 1937, in the Peter Pender Community in Franklin County to the late Woodrow Rogers and Lou Reba (Carroll) Rogers. He was 79 years old. He was also preceded in death by one son, Mike Rogers.
Bob was a welder at Burt Steel Company in Charleston for many years, and retired from Trane, Inc. in Fort Smith. He was an U.S. Army veteran, and he was a member of First Baptist Church in Branch.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 27th, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with the Rev. Tim Hobbs officiating. Burial will be at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ann (Haney) Rogers; one son, Billy Rogers of Charleston; four sisters, Aline Salter of Charleston, Christine Etter of Fort Smith, Peggy Sigler of Branch and Judy Brown of Charleston; two grandchildren, Lindsey Hice and Bobby Rogers, II; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Douglas, Idus Gipson, Floyd Spencer, David Rietman, Dwight Mantooth, Tony Rios and Charlie Smith.
Family will visit with friends from 2:00 P.M to 4:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
