On October 10, 1956 in Livingston, Tx a curly haired Babyboy was born to Mr. Granville Henderson Sr. and Mrs. Martha Reece Henderson. They named him Frank Henderson, jokingly known as “Saddle Head” by his friends. He confessed Christ at an early age a Smith Memorial COGIG in Blanchard, Tx under the leadership of his older brother Superintendent Manuel Dunham Sr. As a young adult, he joined First Assembly of God Church where his wife Nisa was also a member. He dutifully served as a loyal and faithful member until God called him home.

Frank received his education in the public schools of Livingston, Tx. He attended Dunbar Elementary School, Livingston Middle School, and graduated from Livingston High School in 1975. He was a standout athlete; he participated in football, track, and basketball. Football was his first love; he consistently led the district and the area in rushing yards and voted all-district honors throughout his high school career. Opposing coaches and players would often make the remark “we had this game but we just couldn’t handle # 22”, which was Frank’s number.

After Frank graduated high school, he became employed by Brame Exxon in Livingston, Tx during the day and drove the U.S. Mail transport from Livingston, Tx. To Conroe Tx. At night. He later retired from Stubbs Petroleum in Livingston, Tx. And Coca Cola Bottling Co. in Lufkin, Tx. Following retirement, he spent many years being a loyal trusted member of the Livingston School Board until he was called home.

Frank was generous, kind hearted, and empathetic to all he met and would not hesitate in giving his all to anyone in need. Blessed with many gifts and talents, he displayed strong organizational skills which is indicative of all the little league football and basketball leagues that he formed to train many athletes, some of which went on to play collegiately and professionally. Above all, he LOVED his family, brothers, and friends, and cherished the beautiful relationship they shared.

On October 12, 1991, Frank married the love of his life Nisa Boyd of Battle Creek, Mi. the daughter of Mr. Albert and Mrs. Dora Boyd. Nisa and Frank were blessed to have enjoyed 26 years together.

Frank peacefully departed his earthly life Thursday, March 23, 2017. He will continue to live on in the lives and hearts of his loving wife, Nisa Henderson. Children: Katrina, Shaneika, Cornell, Anthony, Joshua, and Canisha. Brothers: Aurtha Ray (Joyce), Nathaniel, and Joseph Ray. Sisters: Helen (John)Henderson, and Marie Bennett.
