Andrea Lee Witters

1947 - 2017

Nampa, Idaho

Andrea Lee Witters, born February 19, 1947 in Boise, Idaho to Rowland Charles and Vella Irene Campbell Witters passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017 in Boise, Idaho.

Andrea grew up in the North End, attended North Jr. High and graduated from Boise High School and Idaho State University in Pocatello with a teaching degree in secondary education. She taught in various teaching positions, worked at Idaho Transportation Department for 20+ years and was an Administrative Assistant at Boise State University in the Secondary Education Department and retired after 25 years of dedicated service. She was a devoted fan of Boise State football and held season tickets for many years.

Andrea had a love of family and each member was important to her. She loved all her nieces and nephews. She was so generous and kind and involved in each of their lives they couldn't help but adore her. She was the family "Aunt" and was always called "Aunt Andy".

She had a zest for life and was known for the subtle, quirky sense of humor that could sneak up on you. She was devoted to her friends, and was non-judgmental and accepted all people as they were.

Andrea had a fabulous ability for story-telling, loved history—especially the history of Boise—and loved to learn. With a teaching degree her quest for knowledge never ended.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She is survived by her sisters: DeEsta (Leslie) Beck, Tylee Kite, Reveta (Steven) Strolberg; and brother Steven (Peggy) Witters; 10 nieces, 3 nephews, 20 great-nieces, 12 great-nephews; and an aunt, Vonda Arnold.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 29 at the Boise 13th Ward LDS Chapel, 3229 Bogus Basin Rd in Boise. A viewing will be held at the church, Tuesday, March 28 from 7 to 8 p.m. and again at the church Wednesday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be at Dry Creek Cemetery.

Arrangements by Zeyer Funeral Chapel, Nampa, 208-467-7300. Condolences may be expressed at zeyerfuneralchapel.com
