Anthony Scott Cross, 18, died August 18, 1998, at the Scott County Hospital. Born in Somerset, Ky., July 10, 1980, he was the son of Lanford and Sally Cross.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Isham Burchfield. He was a member of Pleasant Grove United Baptist Church. He is survived by his parents, Lanford and Sally Cross of Winfield; one brother, Derek Cross and wife, Mary of Winfield; grandparents Manford and Nola Cross, and Wanda Brown, all of Winfield; special friend, Burt Burchfield, special niece and nephew, Caleb and Hannah Cross; several aunts, uncles and other relatives.
Funeral service was conducted August 20, 1998, at Pleasant Grove United Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Fults and Rev. Gary Campbell officiating. Interment followed in Cross Cemetery, Winfield. West-Murley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
