Delores Jane Edwards, age 84, of Conway, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2017. She was born October 30, 1932, in Covington, Virginia, a daughter of Walter Porterfield and Bertha Nutter Porterfield. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecost faith. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly.
She is survived by her children, Deborah and Teddy McGhee of Morrilton, Arkansas, Dianne Gray and Judy O'Dell of Conway, Arkansas, Teresa and Harold Dover of Wye Mt., Arkansas, James Henry and Debbie Edwards of Traskwood, Arkansas, Keith Edwards of Wye Mt., Arkansas Kevin and Becky Edwards of Benton, Arkansas; fourteen grandchildren; twenty four great grandchildren; brother, David and Joyce Porterfield of Pampa, Texas; and sisters, Jo Ann Turner and Faye Smith both of Fort Smith, Texas. Other than her parents and husband and father of her children James Henry Lee Edwards, she was preceded in death by her son, James Hamilton, sister, Sue Johnson, brother, Jack Porterfield and loving pet, Frosty.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 28, at Souls Anchor Pentecostal Church Wye Mt. with Sister Jean Zulpo officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery near Bigelow Mt. by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 6:00to 8:00 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
