Marguerite Davis passed away on March 18, 2017 at Cedar Hill Health Care Center in Windsor, VT. She was born May 2, 1924, in Springfield, VT, the daughter of Arthur E. and Marcella (Witherall) Basso.

She attended Springfield schools, graduating from Springfield High School Class of 1942. She later attended courses for computer and business training.

On Jan. 23, 1946, she married Everett E. Bryant. He predeceased her March 11, 1994. On Oct. 6, 1995, she married Earl E. Davis Sr. He predeceased her Jan. 23, 2008.

She was employed as a secretary with the Bellows Falls Hospital for several years, a bookkeeper with Chester Plumbing & Heating for eight years, and also worked at the Springfield Phone Company and the Baltimore School.

She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Springfield, a 70-year member of the Eastern Star, and a member of the Grange.

She enjoyed her time with the Eastern Star and Grange and also enjoyed sewing and sewed many of the gowns for the Eastern Star.

She is survived by two sons, Arthur Bryant of Perkinsville and George Bryant of Olatha, KS; two brothers, Edmond Basso of Ascutney and William Basso of Chester; four grandsons, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Nancy Bryant.

Burial will be at the Pine Grove Cemetery in North Springfield, VT.
