Donna Hahn Hatcher. 70, passed peacefully on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at the Hospice Home in High Point. She was born in Massillon, Ohio, the daughter of Donald and Silvia Ryback Hahn. Donna was a mother and a friend to everyone she knew. A sufficiently self educated woman, her knowledge of this world seemed endless. And as it was her desire to expand that knowledge, Donna frequently kept her nose in a book. Which was easy for her, seeing how she kept her home filled with them. Donna had physical limitations that kept her from exploring this world in person, but always enjoyed hearing from others about their own experiences and the adventures of their own lives. And with such limitless wisdom her council was appreciated and sought-after by all around her. As a true student of the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ, Donna loved fearlessly and equally all the Lord's miracles; the complex and the mundane. We will miss her honesty, her good laugh, her wisdom, her strength, her pretty smile, and her voice of reason that kept her family moving forward during trying times. We will always have her with us in our hearts and our minds. What is truly our loss is now and forever the Lord's irrevocable gain. We send her to Jesus who has waited patiently for her company, knowing that he has blessed us with the time we could share with her.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, 3:00 pm at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel with Pastor Pat Dixon officiating. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Monday.
Donna was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Hahn. She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Joe Cecil Hatcher; son, Duane Alan Hahn ; daughters, Jennifer Cox and husband Michael of Roanoke, VA, Julia Hatcher and Adam Honeycutt of High Point, NC; brother, Robert Hahn and wife Madalyn of Massillon, OH; grandchildren, Joseph,Hannah, Michael and Matthew Cox and her "grananimals" Stark and Pepper and numerous nieces and nephews and special caregiver Maggie Comer
