Mr. Weaver was born in York County on December 18, 1927, to the late William and Elsie (Shirey) Weaver.
He retired as a police officer and a guard at the York County Prison. Mr. Weaver served in the U.S. Army in the military police during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Shrewsbury Lodge #423 Free and Accepted Masons.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, William Weaver of Elizabethtown and Bradley Weaver of Newtown; three daughters, Connie McClay of McVeytown, and Cathy Myers and Joan Hoffmaster, both of York; two stepsons, James McCleary of Red Lion and Gary McCleary II of York; two stepdaughters, Denise Hersey of Stewartstown and Debra Sennett of Dover; 11 grandchildren; nine stepgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; and a brother, Russell Weaver of Florida.
He was preceded in death by a brother William Weaver. The service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Robert M. Goodling Funeral Home, 62 Main St., Seven Valleys. Officiating will be Rev. John Layman, Chaplain from the Brethren Home, Cross Keys.
Final resting place will be in Stewartstown Cemetery with full military rites by the York County Honor Guard. There will be a visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurse Assoc. and Hospice, 218 E. Market St., York, PA 17403.
