Russell A Rose, 65 of Norton, passed away on March 22, 2017 at his home with his loving family by his side.

He was the beloved husband of Linda (Menice) Rose.
Russell was born in Taunton, a son of the late Coster and Emily (Crimlisk) Rose.

Before retirement, Chief Rose was proud to serve his country with the US Army for 32 years in various locations across the United States and Europe. He retired as a Chief Warrant Officer5. He received multiple service awards including the Humanitarian Award and the Legion of Merit.

Mr. Rose enjoyed watching the Patriots and hanging out with his family and his dog Tank.

Besides his loving wife Linda of over 47 years, he is survived by his children, Rachel Ann (Rose) Bazile of Taunton, Keri Lynn Rose of Attleboro, R. Andrew Rose and Fredric “Freddy” Liam Rose both of Norton, he was the brother of David Rose of RI, Susan Roche of NH and Gail Orcutt of Taunton. He also leaves two grandchildren, Darian Bazile of Taunton and Russell Andrew Rose, Jr of Norton. Russell also leaves his faithful companion Tank, his dog.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 10 am in Saint Mary’s Church, Power St in Norton.

Interment with full military honors will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, in Bourne.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, March 27, 2017 from 4 to 7pm in the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) in Taunton.
