Bob was a manager at Western Electric/AT&T in Newark and Warren, NJ, before retiring in 1989 after 30 years of service. He moved from Scotch Plains, NJ, to Pennsylvania in 1990. Bob had many hobbies over the years. He was an avid family genealogist. He was involved in the Stockertown Train club in the 1990s. Bob was also active for many years in the North Jersey Triumph club.
In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by one daughter, Kim A. Holdren (Gary). Also surviving are his grandchildren, Jennifer A. Loforte (Keith), Matthew R. Polewka (Jeanette), and Kristen H. Ehrlich (Jacob), and step-grandchildren, Michele Rollman (Sean), and David Holdren (Ronnie Le). He is also survived by great-grandchildren, Lexi and Hayden Loforte, Matthew A. Polewka, Stone Ehrlich, Justin and Lindsey Rollman, and sisters-in-law, Pamela Yeager and Shirley Daniels (Butch). He was predeceased by his daughter, Carolyn Yeager-Polewka, who passed away one month ago, and his brother, Thomas E. Yeager. He is survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Friday, March 24, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth. An additional viewing will be held on Saturday, March 25, from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at Davis Chapel United Methodist Church, 2 Cranberry Run Rd., Zion Grove, with the funeral service to start at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
