She was born on September 26, 1963 in Madisonville to Linda Jones and the late James B. Jones, Sr. Joy was a self employed house keeper and worked at Lakeshore Country Club in Madisonville. She enjoyed getting together with family and friends for cook outs, enjoyed planting flowers and loved riding the Harley-Davidson.
Survivors include her mother, Linda Jones of Madisonville; son, Cody Burbage of Madisonville; sisters, Patricia Ellison of Madisonville and Donna Smith of Louisville, KY; brothers, James Jones, Jr. of Peoria, IL, Charles Jones of Madisonville, Jimmy L. Jones of Madisonville and Roland Shane Jones and wife, Mindy of Mortons Gap, KY; grandson, Cooper Burge; Fiance', Carl J. Howton of Madisonville; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 24, 2017 at Bethlehem Cemetery in Madisonville with Bro. Cletus Bowman officiating. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville is in charge of the arrangements.
