Marilyn J. Steele LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP Marilyn J. (Crosta) Steele, 81, of Lawrence Township, NJ, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at the Compassionate Care Hospice at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton, Hamilton, NJ. Born in Massachusetts, she resided in Lawrence Township since 1964. Marilyn enjoyed traveling and going to the beach, and was an avid reader. She was a horse racing enthusiast and loved playing the lottery scratch-offs; but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and especially loved face-timing with her great-granddaughters. Daughter of the late John and Marion Crosta; wife of the late William Steele, and sister of the late Skippy Crosta, she is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Sandy Anderson and her companion, Jay Sherlock; Brenda and Stan Hambley, and Robin and Chip Stackhouse. She is also survived by Bill's children, Bethanne Bello and her husband, Jeff; Bill Steele and his wife, Kelly, and John Steele, and their children; three sisters, Shirley Pompeo, Gayle and Tris Fall, and Sharon and Ken McLoud; four grandchildren, Nicole Anderson, and Chaz, Lacey, and Danny Stackhouse; three great-grandchildren, Aliyah, Mya and Timmy; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services will be private. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the charity of the donor's choice .
