Margaret Lousie Kiger, daughter of Ernest and Pearl (Reiter) Kiger, was born May 5, 1932, in Sioux Falls, SD. Margaret or “Peggy” as she was known grew up and attended school in Sioux Falls. Following her education she worked for Triple A. On January 7, 1958, she married Orlen Hansen in Jasper, MN. The couple made their home in Sioux Falls. Peggy worked various jobs over the years but spent the majority of her time as a legal secretary for the South Dakota State’s Attorney’s office. She worked there for 22 years and later worked for the law office of Laurel Eggers. She retired in 2008.

In her free time Peggy enjoyed camping and traveling with her husband, Orlen and visiting with friends. She was a loving wife, sister and aunt who will be greatly missed by all those who shared her life.

Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Orlen; brother, Ron Kiger and his wife, Mary of Renner, SD; several nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Pearl Kiger.
