Born in Westport, daughter of the late Forrest E. and Bessie M. (Taber) Austin, she was a lifelong resident of Westport.
A graduate of Westport High School, she worked as a clerk for the Naval Torpedo Station in Newport, RI during World War II. Mrs. Ouellette worked many summers at the Westport Point Market, she retired from the Milton E. Earle School as a cafeteria worker after 16 1/2 years of employment and ultimately retired in 2000 from the Westport Apothecary where she worked as a clerk and buyer for 25 years.
Survivors include several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was mother of the late Ronald M. Ouellette; sister of the late Thelma E. Hebden and the late Hilda Reed; and half-sister of the late June Janey.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, March 24, 2017 at the Potter Funeral Home. Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
