DONALD E. GABBERT
November 16, 1916-July 25, 1991
Donald E. Gabbert, 74, 1821 E. St., died Thursday at Otis Park Golf Course.
Born in Bedford, he was the son of Earl and Alpha (McBride) Baggert. He first married Eldena Barnett of Indianapolis and she died in June 1981. He married Barbara Shelly Dec. 22, 1983 in Florida and she survives.
He worked for 32 years at State Farm Insurance in Bedfored. He attended Gullett's Creek Baptist Church and was a member of Bedfore American Legion Post 33, Fraternal Order of Police 94, and Otis Park Golf Course.
Survivors include his son: David Gabbert, Louisville, Ky.; one stepson: Dave Drumb, Bedfored; one stepdaughter: Pam Moore, Bedfored; one brother: Charles Gabbert, Bedford; one sister: Phyllis Moulton, California; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Clyde Gabbert and Hubert Gabbert.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Cresthaven Funeral Home, with the Revs. Lewis Williams and Don Phillips officiating. Burial will be at Cresthave Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded by American Legion Post 33. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until the services Saturday at the funeral home.
