GIBSON AVIS D. Born Sept. 23, 1908, passed away in Lafayette, on May 3, 2001. Dear sister of the late Gertrude G. Gibson of Alameda, CA and the late Alta M. Post of Delano, CA. She is also survived by her niece, Penny Williams of Walnut Creek, CA & grandniece, Joanna Lohrli of Pleasant Hill, CA. A native of Douglass, Kansas, aged 92 years. Graduated Delano High School 1927; Graduated Nursing School, Fresno, CA 1930; Member of S.F. Explorers Club. Member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Alameda; A member of AARP of Alameda. She worked as a nurse in Oakland/ Alameda for over 50 years. She enjoyed traveling Symphony and light opera. Private Family Blessings on Tuesday, May 8, 2001.
