He is experiencing his new growth in heaven fishing with Jesus. Scott was 58 years young. Scott was the youngest of four boys, who all share a love of farming and music. He married Deborah Joyce Beshirs on January 6, 1979 in Lorenzo. During their 38 years of marriage, they raised three daughters, were blessed with two grandsons, and proudly welcomed two sons-in-law into the family. Strong yet gentle, he loved Debbie and his family with all his heart. Scott and his bride spent many evenings idling around turn rows observing the cotton crops. He spent his days on the farm working tirelessly to provide for his family. When you couldn’t buy it, you could bet he was in his barn designing and building it. His unmatched wit, remarkable ingenuity, and old-fashioned work ethic can be seen in the hearts of his girls. Paw Paw, as he was affectionately known, dearly loved spending time with and building homemade toys for his grandsons.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Norris of Ralls; daughters, Stacy Norris of Lubbock, Toni Bland and Jeremy of Acuff, Kayla Harrell and Miles of Crosbyton; two grandchildren, Cooper Bland and Diggs Bland; brothers Danny Norris, Norman Norris and wife Teresa, and Walt Norris and wife Reba, all of Lubbock; and too many Beshirs in-laws to count!
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, March 23rd, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Lorenzo under the direction of Adams Funeral Home. Pastor Ray Buffington will officiate. Pallbearers are Rusty Norris, Cody Pleasant, Jarrett Bland, Brett Rampy, Philip Manske, Leandro (Chaco) Ramirez, Javier Ramirez, Roberto Ramirez, Greg Colunga, Donnie Powell, and Ronnie Powell. Honorary pallbearers are Jeremy Bland, Miles Harrell, Cooper Bland, and Diggs Bland. Scott will be laid to rest in the Ralls cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to The Worship Center of Lubbock.
