The Chaplain’s Office is deeply saddened to announce the death of Sergeant Paul R. Tilley today, Saturday 11 March 2017. Sergeant Tilley began his career with Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office in 1992 in the Detention Bureau. Paul served as an instructor at the Training Academy for five years before promoting and moving to the Patrol Division. Sergeant Tilley was serving as a Negotiator for the Tactical Unit and a supervisor in the Judicial Division.

RIP Brother..."This is Sgt. Paul Tilley, he was a Sargent with the Tarrant County Sheriffs Office in Fort Worth Texas. He was one of the best Instructors and men I have ever met. He suffered a massive heart attack yesterday going to the hospital to check on a Deputy. He served the county of Tarrant from 1992 to present. -Andrew.

RIP Paul. We have known each other for many years. Great friend and co-worker. Sgt Tilley you will be truly missed. We have the watch from here. Your brothers and sisters in blue have your back and will be here to continue to protect your family. J. McDonald
