Aaron R. Baldwin passed away at the Mercy hospital in Burlington, Ia., Friday morning after a few days illness. Mr. Baldwin had been ill early in the week and Thursday suffered a heart attack in the Cameron restaurant. He was removed to the hospital, and passed away there.
Aaron R. Baldwin, son of Joseph and Joannah Baldwin was born in Marion county, Ind., Feb. 25, 1859. After the death of his father, Mrs. Baldwin moved her family to Keithsburg, where he engaged in farming.
He married Miss Jennie Micky and they had one son, Mark Baldwin who passed away about ten years ago at his home in Hollywood, Calif. Mrs. Baldwin passed away about 1900. In November, 1903 he married Mrs. Sarah Wickett Wilkinson, who died in August, 1930.
He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Laura Martin of Viola, one grandson, Bettler Baldwin of Hollywood, Calif., and two grand-daughters, Patricia and Marian Baldwin of Hollywood, Calif.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Stuebinger funeral home, with Rev. George H. Wilson, officiating. Pallbearers were Loren Pease, Clinton Cameron, Floyd Saunders, Harry Vandervort, Guy Frick and Arnold Burnette. Burial was in Green Mound cemetery.
