Christen Brook Setzer, 25, a resident of Trinity, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 in Thomasville Medical Center. She was born on April 7, 1991 in Guilford County to James “Rodney” Setzer and Carla Bond Setzer. She worked for Carolina Diner where she was a waitress. Christen was a beloved daughter, sister, and friend. She was known for her infectious laugh and her love for life in general. She was a food critic and loved animals, sometimes more so than people, and enjoyed playing pool. Christen was the selfie queen, loved getting her hair done, and her makeup was always perfect. She will be missed deeply by everyone who knew her. She was a member of Longhill Baptist Church in Troy.

Christen was preceded in death by her daughter, Ainslee Brooke Setzer who passed on September 16, 2016.

Christen is survived by her parents, Rodney and Carla Setzer of Trinity; Fiancé, Andre Marinelli of Trinity; paternal grandparents, Rod Setzer, Sr. of Archdale, and Fran and Carlyle Rose of Clinton; maternal grandparents, Helen and Carl Bond of Trinity; a brother, James Setzer of Thomasville; three sisters, Kelly Setzer of Sophia, Misty Williamson and husband Terry of Troy and Krystal Lawson and husband Chase of Troy; aunts and uncles, Allen Bond and wife Jennifer of Denton, Daniel Setzer of Cedar Square, Mark Bartram of Houston, TX, Kathy and Brian Murphy of Houston, TX, Cindy Hill of Trinity, and Michelle and Stacy Johns of Fayetteville; nieces and nephews, Braydin, Eli, Ady, Lucas, and Gatlin Williamson, Kadin Lawson, Kooper Wilkerson, and Sawyer Lawson; cousins, Samantha, Alex, Graham, Kaelyn, Austin, Isabel, Shelby, Taylor, Clay, Logan, Seth, and Daniel, Jr.; one cat, Miss Kittie, and two dogs, Marley and Lucy.

A funeral service will be conducted Friday, March 25, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the J.C. Green and Sons Chapel in Thomasville with the Pastor Mark Forest officiating. Interment will follow the service in Guilford Memorial Park in Greensboro. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-8 at the funeral home.
