Carol A. Zimmerman, 50, of Centre Twp., was killed Monday, March 20, 2017 in Shoemakersville, Pa. She was the wife of Kevin S. Zimmerman. They were married June 25, 1993 and celebrated 23 years of marriage. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of Russell L. and Shirley J. (Hilbert) Smith, Ontelaunee Twp. She graduated from Schuylkill Valley High School in 1985. Carol worked as a claims processor for Central PA Teamsters Health & Welfare Fund Local 429, Wyomissing. She was a member of Leesport Fire Company. She loved to watch NASCAR and play Words with Friends. Carol always loved helping people, she was a very loving and giving person. Carol always thought of other people before herself. She is survived by a sister; a father-in-law and mother-in-law; an uncle and aunt; her best friend, Kelly; and her cats: Lexi, Angel and Misty. Services will be held Friday, March 24, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport, PA 19533. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to: The Animal Rescue League of Berks County, P.O.
