Mildred Bernice Crowe Porter "Mama Porter", 93, widow of Alvin Richard Porter died Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, SC.

Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Harrison and Agnes Elizabeth Brackens Crowe.

She was a former employee with Lowndes Mill in Easley and retired from J.P. Stevens Clemson Plant. She attended East Clemson Christian Fellowship and enjoyed gardening and loved flowers.

Surviving are her daughter, Bernice "Bonnie" Porter of Central; 8 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and 12 great great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by sons, Robert H. Porter and Virgil M. Porter; daughters, Estelle Bolick and Maybelle Perry; brothers, Bruce Crowe and Troy Crowe; and sisters, Vera Porter, Estelle Ellenburg and Pauline Mayfield.

Funeral services will be 3 PM, Friday at East Clemson Christian Fellowship with burial to follow in Memory Gardens.
