Rebecca “Becky” Suzanne Collins, 66, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House in Kernersville. She was born in Caldwell County on December 23, 1950 to the late Ward Collins and Lorraine Carpenter Collins. Becky was also preceded in death by her sister, Cynthia Woodcock.

Becky was a veteran of the United States Army and a former member of the Hudson Jaycees. She was a Registered Nurse, formerly working at Caldwell Memorial and hospitals in Charleston, SC and Greensboro, NC.

She is survived by her daughter, Melonie Pipes of Kernersville and grandsons, Dalton and Collin Inman; daughter, Dr. Crystal D. Martin of Asheville; sisters, Jackie Storie of Lenoir and Karen Evans and husband, Thomas of Wingate; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jim Lee officiating. Inurnment will immediately follow the service at Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors provided by United States Army and the Caldwell County Veteran’s Honor Guard.
